Langmuir adsorption isotherm

The Langmuir adsorption isotherm describes adsorption of molecules from a three-dimensional solution at a two-dimensional surface. Main assumption: adsorbed molecules do not interact with each other.
Langmuir equation
C is the concentration in the bulk phase, x is the fraction of occupied sites of the surface.
